TST, through its related trading subsidiary Celestia Renovables, has supplied a wireless communication system for the EDP Renováveis wind farm located in Zas(La Coruña, NorthWest of Spain). TST had already deployed a wireless system in EDPR Tahivilla (Cádiz, Spain) wind farm, and this second farm reinforces their commitment with renewable energy sector and energy efficiency.
The solution supplied by TST provides radio links between the wind turbines and the Control Center, removing the copper wires and significantly reducing the extremely high maintenance costs. The system works on ISM 868 MHz frequency band, enabling immunity to atmospheric phenomena and far away from frequencies used by army and defense.
